64 x 78. This quilt was pieced by my Great Grandmother Flora sometime in the 1960's. She might have called this Broken Wheel or Rolling Stone. It is quilted using the Quilt EZ Baptist Fan template and So Fine thread.
68 x 84. This quilt was made by my Great-Grandmother Flora sometime in the 1960's. It's quilted with the Quilt EZ Baptist Fan template using So Fine thread.
64 x 78. This quilt was made for the Quilts of Valor Foundation using a Chinese Coins pattern. The "coins" are made from scraps. The sashing and border are batiks from my stash. The back is made from a fabric that I overdyed blue. The batting is Warn and Natural.
The quilt is quilted with the Ebb & Flow pantograph. I used King Tut thread in the needle and So Fine in the bobbin.
36" x 44"
I made this quilt to use 6" charm squares and to practice feather quilting. The coins sections are cross-hatched and the white sections are feathered. The binding is pieced from leftover strips of 30's repro fabrics.
This is a close up view of the feather quilting. It's not the best example of feather quilting but was OK for one of my early attempts.
The backing is a pink and green flannel. It's very soft and shows off the quilting very well.
