The money expenditures continue unabated around here! First DirectTV upgrade, then a new TV and yesterday we got the new internet service (Exede) installed. I celebrated by starting to catch up on my Quilt Show episodes. It's so nice to be able to watch videos again. Satellite internet takes some getting used to because there is a lag when making an initial internet request but once there the 12+ mps speed I'm getting now is a huge improvement over the 1.5 we were getting with CenturyLink. The truth is that the lag is hardly noticeable because we had it on our crappy DSL service too.
The other thing I feel like I need to mention is the exceptional service that we got from the Exede and DirectTV technicians this week. Both men were nice, competent and on time! Can't ask for much more than that.....except for maybe a new fridge. That's what we will be shopping for tomorrow. It's been acting up so I had postponed cleaning it thinking it was going to die. I finally couldn't take it any more and cleaned it 2 weeks ago. The freezer started acting up right away. I knew it was a waste of time to clean it! It's the only appliance left from the once we bought in 1998. Once that's replaced every major appliance/house system will have been replaced since we moved it.
It never ends. But based on some things that some friends of mine are going through (mainly serious health issues), I'll take refrigerator shopping!
But there's no shopping today. Today I dye and that means refrigerator shopping happens tomorrow. Before I head downstairs let me tell you about some new fabrics in the shop. Several gradients needed to be restocked and I have a new Stash Pack for you.
