I've been catching up on my magazine reading lately so I'm back this week with another quilt design from Quilter's Newsletter. This week I'm working with the Blue Lagoon pattern in the June/July issue. This one is designed by Toby Lischko. If you like the Thrive palette you can get ordering information here.
Blue Lagoon
As usual, I started with the pattern layout and worked out a few color options.
This version is closest to the pattern.
But I loved it with the values reversed.
This one is with the Thrive gradient.
This version is with the Abundance gradient.
Next I played with the layouts.
Next I tried a horizontal set.
eh.
A little more interesting but not nearly as interesting as the on point layout.
The best part of this exercise was learning how to do arcs and points in EQ!
