I didn't have to leave town until after lunch yesterday so I had time to finish off one more wall section and get this post scheduled. Working around this pipe is a pain. The designs have to be off center or narrow so that they aren't totally hidden by the pipe. For this one I decided to start with that 2" metal square tile in the middle and build one of my favorite quilt blocks off of it. For the background I had a pile of this gold from someone's failed project at Vis Arts. It was perfect because I wanted a medium value to sit between the tree block on the left and the fish on the right.
Five more and grouting begins!
