I completely forgot to post my Working In A Series post last month! The irony is that I actually had my shibori pieces ready. I simply forgot to post them.
I’m going to continue with my series because I’m having fun doing them but I’m going just post them when I have them so I’ll discontinue the monthly link up.
Here are my pieces for October. These are all about 10” square.
This one needs another layer I think.
The star was fun! The dots are bound beads. This one gave me an idea for a program for my quilt club (Country School Quilters) that we will do in February.
I saw the idea for this one online somewhere. It will make a nice feature blocks.
This was stitched in the zig zag. That was drawn up so that the stitching is gathered tight and straight. Then I bound the drawn up area. This could be split into 2 narrow pieces.
If you look at the top left and right corners you can see the triangle shape where this one was bound.
I’m starting to ponder project ideas and have a few ruminating around. I think the next few sets of fabric that I do will be in lighter shades of blue (like this set) so that I have some value variety in the quilt.
