I’m really late getting started on the Christmas postcards this year. My approach this time is to get all the fronts done, then do all the backs and edges together. Like an assembly line but without other workers to sing railroad work songs with.
There are 3 designs and I finished the stitching on the shibori trees already. The second design uses the scraps from my Time In Space quilt. Like most of my postcards it starts with Mistyfuse! These stars are from 2 pieces of another of Paula’s lines of fabric. These fabrics had turned almost turned into a scrap with all the pieces that I’ve cut from it. The center stars were about all that was left. First I make them fusible.
Next, I cut out circles.
This many circles. That’s how many postcards I will have in this design because that’s how many circles were available in the fabric I have. There are 2 other elements to cut out and I”m getting that set up so I can cut during football games this weekend.
