In this particular case, thank goodness for my friend Estelle. This is her quilt that she shared at quilt club this week.
She made this using my Allegiance free pattern from last year. The pattern comes in 2 sizes. The small version is 48 x 63 for a veteran’s quilt. The large size is 68 x 89 and is perfect for a Quilt of Valor. That’s what Estelle made this one for.
I love how she did the dark orange and dark green parts scrappy. If you want to make one you can get the free pattern here.
What’s my excuse today? Well, today has turned into repair day around here. DirectTV is here now and the HVAC people should be here this afternoon to check out one of the AC units. Thank goodness it wasn’t the upstairs one so we were comfortable last night.
I will certainly need a beverage this evening when I go to my monthly GiLD meeting. It stand for Girls Like Drinks. The girls are some friends that I used to work with. Half of us are now “retired” and the rest are insanely jealous.
