I highly recommend setting some personal retreat time for yourself. This has been a fun few days to really focus.
Let the cleaning and other obligations go for a few days and do what you want to for a few days. Maybe that’s reading books or maybe it quilting or maybe it’s grouting a wall. Whatever it is, it’s nice to have some concentrated time to focus on something.
Yesterday was my last day of grouting and I’m glad to have it done for now.
Here’s the before of the last section that I wanted to get done this week.
Here’s the after. What a difference! I would have waited until the end and grouted the whole wall but I’m glad I was motivated to completely finish the center section. What was the motivation?
This! That’s not a shadow on my leg. It’s the result of Tuesday’s grouting session. FloMo attacks me on a regular basis and she got me good Tuesday. Oh the profanities!
I know she was annoyed that I was cluttering up the access on the side of the machine but she should be more appreciative of the new view I’m giving her.
FloMo isn’t the only furniture in my house that hates me. The bed attacked me about 3 this morning when I was stumbling back to bed from the bathroom. Out of nowhere the bed moved in my path and attacked my right foot. Even more profanities!
And ice. And ibuprophen. And probably a broken toe.
Usually I blame my klutziness on Chris but he’s not here so these incidents are totally on the furniture.
I’m going to look really hot with my bruised pasty white skin in a swimsuit this weekend!
Back to the topic at hand. The area behind FloMo is all done! I should have a pretty clear walking path around the machine now. Maybe she will be kinder to me now.
I’m going to work on this side next. There are 16 “whole” sections. My goal is to be grouting this by the end of September.
Last night I was digging around in a neglected drawer in the sewing room and found these ribbons. Another dusty drawer produced a couple of fabrics that coordinate. These are going to be the next fabric postcards that I make.
Today is going to be quilting day! I got the grout mess cleaned up and dusted FloMo’s rails so I’m going to get back to Lura’s Choice this afternoon.
