April 24, 2015

For my series, I'm working through the design principles in Inspired to Design by Elizabeth Barton. I'm really enjoying it, and trying out a lot of new things that I wouldn't have done otherwise. I made slow & steady progress this month, drawing out a bunch of art quilt layouts based on a photo I took of tropical plants. Now I'm putting together a lot of batik leaves for the quilt.

I understand your frustration at losing 'time' in April. Breaking my wrist the first part of December meant the knitting I was planning on doing during the Christmas break never happened.

Don't know if I've ever mentioned how much I like blue (I might have, once or so of course I love these pieces. I guess I'm not working in any sort of series, unless you happen to count all the crazy quilt pieces I do!!

awk. This month has been difficult, shall I say. Yes, please. Keep the deadlines as I'm determined to do this. Like you, I need the focus of the deadlines and I have the three ever before me! :)
