The brown Drunkard's Path is going to be my sewing focus this week. I really want to get it out of the floor and, frankly, out of the way.
The two bottom rows are done. This living room rug is the absolute worst design wall background. I suspect that this rug is hideous to most of you but it's the only floral thing in my house and, for some strange reason, I actually love this needlepoint rug. It's still a horrid background for photos though.
The next 2 rows are underway. I just realized that I am piecing this in the same order as I set type in the letterpress class. I'm piecing from the bottom right to the top left for no other reason that the bottom right corner was the easiest to get to.
There were a bunch of blocks left over so I threw them up on the design wall. If I dye some more brown for a border I think I can put these together for a veteran's quilt.
Tonight is the last letterpress class. One of my friends is taking the second session. I've thought about it but I think I'm done with that for now. Because of the fumes from the inks and solvents I have to wear my respirator while I'm there. That makes it a little less fun although I've enjoyed every minute of it for these 6 classes.
