I think you will be able to figure out why I named this one Bumble Bee.
I will be making more plates like this one because I love how this turned out. It's made with squares of yellow and black on a 7" white square of glass. Little 1/2" white squares are placed on the corners of the yellow and black and then it's all fired.
Here's how it looked before it was fired. I was surprised at how long it took me to arrange all of those pieces!
After it was fired once to fuse everything together it was then fired a second time to slump the piece in a mold. The face of the plate is not perfectly flat so you can't really eat off of it but it would be a nice dish for candies, crackers or just to put on a stand to display.
