When we went to the beach (the June trip) I had convinced my sister-in-law, Carol, to teach us Zentangling. I even got some shoes for Mom but once she saw what it was she wasn't so interested in doing it. So Carol did Mom's shoes for her birthday gift. Mom's shoes are leather Keds and I'm pretty sure that Carol used Sharpie markers on them.
She made them a matching pair and I'm here to tell you that those dot motifs on the to took her HOURS to do.
Here are some close ups of the sides.
I need to add that leaf motif to a project myself. I really like it. I also like the one that looks like floodlights.
You can get a better idea of the toe design in this view. I also love what she did in the eyelet area. Because these are leather she had to take a lot of breaks to let the ink dry before moving to other areas of the shoe.
This heel design also took a long time. She was a bit loopy after getting one of these done!
I know that Mom will love them and will wear them a lot. Hopefully I'll have my new ones done to show you by next week.
