This week has turned into a week of getting things done. You know, that long list of stuff that just needs to get done. Each individual one doesn't take all that long but all together they eat up a day. Yesterday was going to Carytown (40 minutes each way) AGAIN to pick up my glasses that had to be redone. Then we cleaned out the wood stove and the associated mess since we won't use it again until the fall. In between those and a few other chores I got in a tiny bit of sewing and got another veteran's quilt loaded on Willie.
I'm so glad to have this simple project to work on. I can sit down for 10 or 15 mintes and sew my HST blocks into 4-patch units. I'm about half way done and started laying them out ont he design wall to see if I'll like it.
I'll love it!
After I get the rest of the 4-patch blocks made I'll play around with some layouts. Any log cabin layout will work but I'm kind of liking where this one is headed already. I'll make myself play around in EQ though just to try out some other ideas.
Today we are installing a cell signal booster system so that, hopefully, my cell phone will finally work in the house. If we are not at the divorce attorney's office this afternoon I'll be getting my stuff ready for 2 days of sewing and gabbing with the Country School Quilters.
