Several people commented about the leaf applique that I added to the corner of my Woodland Star quilt. I can't take credit for them. I'm making this pattern strictly to the pattern instructions. All the design credit goes to Laura Blanchard at Plum Tree Quilts.
I do most of my sewing in the afternoon and evening. Yesterday I got the strips cut for the 2 blue borders and strip sets sewn for border #2. The I went out to meet a friend for drinks so the afternoon was the extent of my progress.
Today I have loads of errands to run after lunch with my cousin. It's supposed to start training today and rain all weekend (because the ground isn't soggy enough already). It sounds like great sewing weather to me. I'd love to get the Woodland Star quilt top done, get one more veteran's quilt quilted and get set up for the next 2.
Those are my goals. We'll see how far I get!
Meanwhile Gene Black was the winner of my "waste" fabrics last week and he's already started playing with them! Check it out on his blog.
