Today Lea Anne (Podunk Pretties) is writing about the gremlins finally leaving her studio. Well I think I had some too.
I told you a week or so ago that Willie came home and immediately needed new circuit boards. To say I was not happy is a gross understatement. The good news is that APQS overnighted the boards so I was able to install them that Sunday before my guests arrived. I only had about an hour to test it out but it was enough time to see that he still wasn't happy and working right. When I would cut the machine on it would start in automatic mode (beeping) and the stitch length would set at the highest number (it should start at zero). I didn't have time to deal with it until last night.
I went downstairs last night ready to tackle the problem.
I turned on the machine expecting a night of frustration. Instead everything was magically fine!
Instead I finished quilting the first veteran's quilt I loaded and got the next one ready to go.
So I was able to complete Willie's set up. Anything named Willie needs a little duct tape, don't you think?
A cup for my thread tails and my snips and I'm read to go.
The machine is soooooo different now. After the tune up it sounds totally different with the new brushes and the Bliss drive system is awesome but does have a learning curve. That means that I'll be quilting several veteran's quilts before I tackle one of mine. I hope to get through several of them this weekend. The quilters have been making lots of tops so I'm way behind!
Hopefully all of the gremlins are gone from my house too. If they head your way I apologize but I've entertained them long enough!
