To tell the truth I'm not doing a lot of sewing this week and next. I've been asked to teach a class locally (not a quilting or dyeing class) and I'm working on the materials for those classes right now. But I am trying to fit in some sewing time to save my sanity.
I set aside a couple of hours to start sewing my Woodland Star quilt. I cut out the fabric a couple of weeks ago. The pattern starts with the strips for the lone star. Next I need to press these and cut them into diagonal strips and start puttint he star together.
These colors are such a nice rest from all of that purple and yellow.
It's a little trick to keep the strips offset right but I only had to rip out one seam. For me, that's a miracle.
That's about all I have to share here. It's still cold but not as bad as earlier in the week. My sinuses are so angry. I don't think I have an infection, just a lot of inflamation. I'm doing all the right things to deal with it but it's driving me nuts. Maybe a sit in the steam shower is in order.
I'll mostly be working on class materials this weekend but will set aside some time to make more progress on Woodland Star.
