Well Christmas week is off to a great start. The weekend we went to 2 parties (one Friday night and one last night) and both were a lot of fun. It's always great to catch up with people you haven't seen in a while. I even discovered that someone I've known for years once worked for my Uncle in Roaoke. Small world!
After the party last night we came home to watch the Eagles totally dominate the Bears. It was a beautiful thing.
I"m working on the Color Splash version of Judy's mystery for next year. This will allow me to triple check the amount of fabric I dyed for the kits and I now know that there's plenty! If you bought a kit you have enough to make a few mistakes and still finish the quilt. The Color Splash blocks are bright and bold and I love them. Chris says it would be a great beach quilt. Judy is making the Kettering kit and Mom is making Forest Canopy. I think they are all going to look great.
But now it's time for some Christmas fun so I'll be signing off for a few days. First I'll share photos of my two newest glass ornaments. My friend, Denise, from Los Angeles sent me this beautiful ornament.
I bought this one last May at the Hot Glass Festival at Sunspots in Staunton, VA. I love how they mixed canes into the glass. I hadn't seen ornaments like this before and will look for another next May.
