Well the vacation week is over. Ian and Laura leave today. Bummer. We have had a great time.
Now it's back to regular programming. I am supposed to be with my quilt club today by I have guests coming tonight so I have to get the guest house ready and be here when they arrive. I never imagined that the guest house might actually be a source of income one day. Mostly it has been a money pit so it's nice to now get some productive use out of it. It doesn't make us rich but it does cover the expenses and our electric bill and that's nice. The most surprising part is all of the great people we meet. We've had guests from all over the US and international guests from Canada, UK, Peru, Columbia, Qatar and Germany. It's a lot of fun and it's a good antidote to the TV news that is nothing but coverage of bad people. Most people really are very nice and we've mets lots of them right here.
Now for my weekend plans.
If I was at Sewing Friday and Saturday, I'd be doing the binding for these 2 quilts. They are still on my agenda and will be the first order of business for the weekend. This would be a good thing to do do while I barely watch the pre-season Eagles game tonight.
Second priority is this quilt. I haven't quilted on it in 3 days so I need to catch up. One more row of feather and I will be half way done. If I can focus this could be done next weekend.
Last night while Ian and Laura were at a work dinner I got all of the print sashing pieces cut out. I kept losing track of how many I had so I just put them on the wall in pairs to keep track. I want to get all of the black triangles cut out and start putting this together.
I have the weekend to myself until I pick up Chris at the airport Sunday night so it's time to get on with it.
