I am getting very excited about the upcoming Fractured project. Are you joining in? YOu can get the blog button code in the box under the button on the left. We are going to start the first Friday in September. Just post a photo of your progress on your blog or on the web and link up each Friday through November. Every Monday I will draw a name from the participants and send the a free fat quarter of hand dyed fabric.
I've started thinking about the fabrics for my quilt.
These are all of the 31 rejects from the great gray adventure. None, obviously, are gray but they are all dark and brooding and I think would make a great scrappy background or dark element.
How about with orange? I kind of like this. But my original plan was to use this project to reduce the commercial print fabric stash some too. I originally envisioned half hand dyes and half commercial prints.
Looking through my stash I found I have a lot of yellow and purple. What do you think of these together? It would be perfect if you are a LSU, East Carolina or JMU fan. It would be different from anything else I've made recently.
Either of my choices would be very different from Kathy Doughty's quilt but I think they would still be effective.
Speaking of Kathy, she's found out about out QAL and has a surprise in store for you later in the QAL!
What color plan are you considering? Get ready for September 6 to share your fabrics of first blocks! I've set up a Pinterest Board of Fractured quilts for inspiration.
