My friends left mid-day Friday and with Chris out of town it was very quiet around here. It tuns out that sometime Saturday our phone lost service too so it was super quiet! Yes, we paid our bill. We can make calls but we aren't receiving any. Less than 5 people know my cell phone number so it was a REALLY quiet weekend around here and I loved every minute of it.
I started off by getting the 2 quilts bound. I'll have photos of those tomorrow...if I get the photos taken today. I also ironed and starched all of the fabric for my shibori Grandmother's Choice quilt. I hope I can start cutting out the sashing and setting blocks this week.
Most of my weekend was taken up with this quilt. I have the blocks framed and have started working on the 1st border. I am absolutely loving this quilt and can't wait to finish it.
I only got 1 wide row quilted on this quilt. Instead of quilting Sunday I worked on glass so this didn't get done. I'm about 4" shy of the halfway mark but at least it's off th ground!
I'm going to the river Friday to hang out with my friend for the weekend so it's short week for me. I have lots of dyeing to do tomorrow but I hope to get my symmetry quilt top together and get the parts cut out for the shibori quilt. My last objective for the week is to quilt 4 more wide rows on this quilt.
