because there wasn't yesterday!
But before I get into anything else I'll announce the winners of the Quilt Show gift certificates.
The international winner is Elle from Canada!
The US winner is Eileen Foley from St. paul, MN!
Check out the comments on the post. There are some really interesting festivals going on around the country.
Yesterday was dyeing day and usually that's an all day event. One of the things I dyed was a quilt back in the Solar Flare gradient. I do extra large fabrics outside on a large table. Several butterflies kept me company while I was applying the dye. They were all over the yellow, orange and red dyes!
Once I'm done I am too tired to do much of anything else. I finished a little ahead of schedule yesterday but I still didn't sew. Instead I worked a puzzle.
These arrived while I was dyeing. I've been wanting a small desk in the guest house. Several recent visitors have been people here to work in Richmond and I wanted to give them a workspace. It had to be small which made it a little difficult to find. I finally found this one at Overstock. It was inexpensive and small. Perfect.
These kinds of instructions drive Chris absolutely insane. I, on the other hand, like trying to figure them out.
It was all pretty straight forward except that a couple of pieces didn't fit right and that left me with 3 leftover parts. That's not bad for a kit that cost less than $200.
But it left 2 of these exposed.
Craft supplies to the rescue!
It's not perfect but it's on the side (both sides actually).
One new desk and chair ready for the next guests!
