Usually on Monday I am on the computer all day and rarely get any sewing done. I'm trying hard to change that. I think it's easier to do a few hours of computer work every day so that I can do some sewing every day too. That's what I did yesterday.
I took a break after lunch to quilt for an hour and got this quilt started. Usually when I do feathers I do the hump-and-bump feather but I am doing the traditional feather on this so that means that I the bottom of the new feather is stitched right over the top of the previous feather. I really need this practice and the mistakes will be impossible to find once the quilt is covered. I've got to pay more attention to the direction of my feather curls. All of the ones I quilted yesterday curl to the left!
I also got the wide gradient borders stitched to the guest room quilt. The total width of the quilt is greater than 80" so I will add turquoise corners to finish this off. I should finish it today and will pull out another project (UFO) to work on next.
