The plan was to spend the entire day washing and ironing the fabric that I dyed Wednesday...and it's a whole days worth of ironing. I will get to the ironing but the morning was spent with the PC repair service again. While I was at the river the computer that I use for order shipping decided to misbehave. It will no longer connect to the internet which pretty much makes it impossible to print invoices and shipping labels. The PC guy came and gave it a hearty try to fix but we all agreed that it's officially dead. It's an old PC that I expected to die in 2009 so I've gotten my money's worth out of it. But now I have to PC shop again. ugh.
That's not happening today. I'm back to ironing so that I can do some sewing and quilting this weekend.
This is what I am hoping to work on. I started with some SID to stabilize it and that's where I figured out that my construction was less than stellar. This is going to require a lot of quilting to fix the crappy piecing. I'm OK with that, I like filler quilting!
Several of the strips around the blocks are quite "full" so they will require some sticking down. I'm going to start by outline stitching the prints, probably with metallic thread, and then do some sort of filler quilting. I'll probably quilt some leaves in the borders. Whatever I do I'm just going to put on my audiobook and have some fun with it.
My incentive to finish my ironing and quilting is this.
I bought more glass supplies! I've been watching some video lessons on the Bullseye Glass site and there are lots of things I want to try out. I'm hoping to play with some of this Sunday.
At some point I will also do some PC shopping.
I hope you get do do whatever you want to this weekend too!
