One more day until Craft Week begins! I spent part of the weekend getting all of my stuff ready but I spent most of the weekend ironing fabric to be mailed today.
I also got these 2 quilts loaded. They are veteran's quilts from Country School. These blocks were made by the members and Becky sewed them into 2 tops. I loaded one long back and am quilting them up really quickly. Unfortunately I didn't catch that I had a serious tension issue on the first one so I'll be pulling out some of the stitching on that one....when I get back. The good think about serious tension issues is that the quilting is usually very easy to pull out. Maybe this will teach me to be a little more patient and pay attention to what I'm doing.
Want to see my project list for the week? I don't know if I'll get all of these things done but I like to have options. If I get 2 of them done I will be happy. I have packed:
The guest room quilt. This should probably be my first priority if I want this quilt done by the time Denise gets here in July.
I want to get the QOV version of the CSQ mystery quilt together. This should only take a few hours.
Here's a project that you haven't heard of yet. It's a challenge for my quilt club. I have these 2 fabrics plus several that I've added. My project is going to be a wall hanging. I have a plan so this could potentially be an afternoon project to get the top done.
Finally, I'd love to work on (finish actually) my Warkton Lane project. I haven't worked on it since October.
We will see how I do.
When I started packing up this week I realized that my 20 year old travel sewing kit was in really pathetic shape. I was out yesterday and made a stop by Wal-Mart to look for a replacement. I found something I liked a lot in the fishing department but it was too expensive.
Then I found this for less than $6 in the tool department and everything fits perfectly. Now I'm ready.
I've left a lot of posts for the week while I am away. I hope you have a creative week and you can get it started by checking out what everyone else is doing at Patchwork Times and check out the latest creations (here and here) that Leslie has made with my Key West gradient.
