The two blocks look nothing alike! The symmetry block looks like comic book art portraying some strange dimension with completely different laws of physics. The shibori block would make a nice baby quilt. Of all your pairs, these blocks look the most diverse.


The second one looks like it came from the movie - Aliens! (Dating myself again...)

I love it ... but agree it would look out of place with the others. Used alone and used on point it could be rather spectacular!


I like both blocks, but never would have realized they were similar. Even your disasters are fun!
