Patricia L.

Glad that you both are on the road to recovery! Weeks like this take a toll for sure!

Cindy Is Crafty

You got a gem in that man. Few boys would be a model for your quilt square while in their hospital gown for a pulmonary embolism! What a sport and even a smile!

Oh my GOD Vicki!!! What a HORRID week...thank Goodness he's going to be ok!!!! Aiyiyi, you both deserve a treat of some sort!!!

Julie

I am really sorry, Vicki. I am sure they ultrasounded his legs...sure hope he is all well soon!

Leslie McNeil

oh gosh vicki... what a time you've had. i pray you are both so much better, and appreciate your sense of humor, but especially your husband holding the block up! great sense of humor!

Jane

Oh my, thank goodness you are resilient! A pulmonary embolism is a very scary and serious illness. Take time to heal and rest. I'll be saying prayers for you both.
Your Emboli flower looks great. Jane

Tina in NJ

Thank God you got him to the hospital in time! Pulmonary emboli are not to be taken lightly. My sister had several small ones a few years ago. She's okay, but a woman at my church died from one. Good luck to both of you and here's hoping for a calmer week.

Stephanie

Someone still has a sense of humor! An embolism flower!!! Thank goodness you poked him or it could be a different story. May life be calm now.

Gabriela Divine

Vicki - your blog post just bowled me over. I am stunned and worried at the same time. How perfectly awful for you both. Alan also experienced violent vomiting that began one week ago today that also lasted for two days which resulted in a 6.5 lb weight loss. His dreadful coughing is worsened by his COPD though. Keep poking Chris and on a regular basis. Please give Chris my warmest regards. He may remember having met me at Mark and Margie's several years ago. I send best wishes for a full and speedy recovery. You are both in my thoughts.

terri

That definitely is one crappy week. Hope everyone is on the mend.

Karen

so glad that he/you insisted on going to the ER, blood thinners for sure were needed. I hope he has a good recovery and sorry to hear that you both have been sick - one way to loose weight but a way we never really want to do it! Scary indeed!

Terri Watson

Well that's just awful...hugs to you and yours.

TerriW

Pam O

Wow! Definitely an eventful week.
Amazing that you had the peace of mind to do hand work.
Hugs to you for a better week.

shirley bruner

Oh my GOD, Vicki, when you have a crappy week...you really do it up right (or wrong). hope you and Chris are on the mend and this week is all sunshine and flowers.

kimberly

My goodness! That is a lot and here's hoping the corner has been turned and that all shall be well and back to normal as soon as possible.

Laceflower

Oh my goodness! Crappy week indeed. Here is hoping normal returns really soon. The tiny upside is you get to eat cake or whatever your kryptonite is.

Deb Levy

What a good sport he is! You two should take a vacation after all that crap!

Glad you both are on the mend.

Mary

Definitely counts as 3 and I hope you're done for a while. What a miserable week!

Angela

Hope Chris is back to good health soon. A very crappy week indeed

elle

Blessings to you both!

Katie Z.

Rotten week. While mine has been no where near this severe, I'm with you on putting this week behind us!

Terri

Yeah... you've had the week from hell (so has Chris). Sometimes I think it's more difficult to be the "healthy" one and watch your loved one in pain and suffering. At least that's how it is with me. Glad to see you've not lost your composure. Here's hoping that things can only improve from this point onward. Take care.

Joan

Oh, heavens, that was a whopper of a week. So sorry, and I'll join in with the others, keeping y'all in my thoughts.

Jean

My heart goes out to both of you! We are just going through similar trials here. My Hubby had Pulmonary Emboli in January and spent 4 days in the hospital. His pain was worse than labor pains, and it just takes time to dissolve the clots. Hope you are both well soon.

Diane

Oh my goodness! It is high time you both got off that train and boarded another! Keep the good humor. Loved the appliqué. Take care of each other. :)
