Sigh. It's the last week of the Transcend fabric palette. If you have been wanting some fabric from this popular palette you have until tomorrow to order it at the special sale price. I'll be introducing the new palette Tuesday.
Since it's the end of the Transcend palette it seems appropriate to highlight a quick and easy quilt. My friend, Wendy Sheppard, is a prolific and very talented pattern designer. If' you've picked up a quilting magazine in the past few years it's likely to contain one of Wendy's designs. She also shares a lot of helpful information on her blog through her Thread Talk series of posts. Check her side bar and you will find links to all of her Thread Talk posts and lots of links to free patterns.
She has let me use one of her newest designs, Garden Maze, with my palette this week. The pattern is published in Quilter’s World‘s Spring 2013 Special Interest Publication issue “Quilt & Easy Quilts”.
Here is the design worked up in in several versions of the Transcend palette. Notice that there are couple that would work great for QOV designs. It's such and easy quilt that it would be a fun QOV project.

Vicki,
These are awesome! I think my favorite is the red/white/blue - perfect for a maritime project. Thanks for working up the different looks!

I'm not great with color, but do enjoy EQ7 and being able to play with color. And, trying to pay more attention by way of attending quilt shows, reading magazines, following blogs, etc.. I know I need to take some classes, but I was happy to find your blog thru Wendy's post. Fun design and fun to see it in a variety of colors palettes.

Just pick three fabrics ... if there is good contrast they will work. Great design, great use of contrast!
