Before we get to Design Wall Monday I want to check back in on my post from yesterday about my friend Pamela. I heard from her this morning and she has already raised over $1000 toward her balance of $5500 of the $65,00 cost of the surgery. I want to thank everyone who has volunteered your support to help Pamela get her heart surgery. If you want to help out and do not want to use Paypal you can get her mailing address here or visit her new indiegogo site. There's a video of Pamela on the indiegogo site.
I have not heard of indiegogo before but it's a really cool place. You should check it out. It's a great place for raising funds for all sorts of things. It reminds me a bit of DonorsChoose, the site for teachers and schools to raise funds for very specific goals.
On the craft front, I didn't accomplish quite as much this weekend as I wanted. I was distracted by football, especially yesterday. I didn't care who won the Saturday games but I was happy with the outcome of both of yesterday's games. The week was pretty productive though.
Do you remember when I mentioned that we were building a bed for the guest room? For a couple of reasons the project was delayed. But I got caught up this week and got the base upholstered with my hand dyed denim. Now Chris needs to attach the legs and cut a headboard for me to upholster. After that he has to paint the room and I have to decided on some sort of bedspread or very large quilt. The first priority is to get the bed done so someone can sleep in here when someone else snores really loud.
I am also making good progress on Mom's quilt. I'm doing the whole thing with ruler work because I do love doing ruler work! I had to order a larger size of my favorite curved crosshatching ruler, DeLoa's Boomerang. But I'm doing the yellow and kaleidoscope sections while I wait for the ruler.
I can't show you what I an sewing because I'm making Judy's Back to Square One mystery. Yes, I get to work on mine first but that's only because I am selling the kit and I needed to have the EQ file to plug in my fabrics. I can only show you the fabrics on the floor and not the design wall. I have to tell you that I am LOVING this quilt. I am selling the kits only through Thursday and then they will not be offered again.
Don't forget to enter my Thankful Thursday giveaway!
This week I am working on Mom's quilt and my BTSO quilt and dyeing a lot of fabric. Check out what everyone else is doing over at Patchwork Times.

I hope all goes well with your friend :)
Your mom's quilt is beautiful.

lovely fabrics and your Mom's quilt it very pretty too. I need to learn to use a ruler while quilting. I may need to take up the "guest" room because my snoring is getting bad and hubs is not complaining but he looks tired.... sweet dreams....

OOh, the guest bed looks really cool!
Intriging curved crosshatching. Are you FMQ'ing the quilt? Hard to tell from the photo. I love the colors, tho.
