I don't make a lot of big gifts but I like to give my friends some little handmade gifts for Christmas. usually that involves jam and something dyed. Here are the little gifts that I have this year (or last year to be more correct).
My friend, Mitzi, got a new iPhone and asked for a case. I made this with some stamped fabric using my tutorial.
I also dyed and screen printed a few tote bags.
The aprons seemed to be the most popular.
You can get the tote and apron blanks at Dharma Trading. They have so many great dyeable items that I don't think I will ever run out of gift things to dye and paint. If you don't dye fabric you could easily get a dyed effect by painting with Dye-Na-Flow paints. Try it, you'll be hooked!
Handmade is best. I can imagine those gifts were truly appreciated.
