You know, there's lots of free information and e-books on the web. Some of it is good and much of it is crap. This week I discovered some of the good. Fons and Porter has a really good new free eBook called Build Your Best Log Cabin. It's a 24 page book produced in the high quality that you've grown to expect from Fons and Porter. It includes several patterns and excellent binding instructions too.
Did I mention that it's free? You can download your very own copy here.
I decided to use the ebook as my inspiration for my Transcend Fabric Palette projects this week. Here are 2 projects from the book. You can get information on the fabric here.
This first design is called Linked Chevrons. The pattern is miniature in the book but, of course, you could do it any size. Here are my 3 versions.
This next one is a woven log cabin and I'ld love to make one of these.

I saw that too and got it - they had a couple designs I had not seen before.

LOL.. I got the offer for the same book with a request to review it on my blog. I did download a copy.
I love the use of the Transcend palette for these.
