I finally got to the shop to pick up the last of my fused glass projects. The last class was a jewelry class.
This set was very simple. The pendant was made by fusing a piece of dichroic glass onto a black base. For the earrings I will get some gold wire to wrap the posts and add a few beads.
Of course, these are my favorite pieces. The quilter in me cam out when I saw some tiny bits of dichroic glass in the bottom of the glass bin. I started trimming and shaping them to create this patchwork effect. There are 3 layers of glass: black on the bottom, the dichroic in the middle and clear on top. I just need to glue on the findings and I will have a new pendant and earring set.
I am hoping to get my electrical connection in the basement soon so I can get started making more glass after Christmas.
Your glass work is beautiful. It's easy to see why you are so excited about doing more.
