I am very excited to be working with Judy again for a great project in 2013. This time it's a mystery quilt; specifically a medallion quilt! Judy, as always, has designed a beauty. It's called "Back to Square One" and that hints at two things. First it's a square medallion quilt but secondly, it a great design made of simple blocks so it's a perfect project for a quilter of any skill level. This would be a great project to take beginners to the next level.
You can get all of the details on Judy's blog. In conjunction with the mystery, I am doing my version in hand dyed fabrics and am using the new Transcend fabric palette. I've designed two palettes for the quilt: one using the Emerald Isle gradient as the focus and one using the Transcend Gradient. With each of these there are 2 versions: one with the gradient as the last border and one using Judy's designed color as the outer border. The kits will be available only through December 20. All orders will be dyed at once and shipped by the first week in January.
I'm offering these at more than 25% off the normal $18/yard price, even lower than the normal palette price.
The Emerald Isle kits use all hand dyed fabrics. The neutral is fabric #1, the palest green. The kit include a total of 15 yards of fabric. I've designed the kits to have a little extra fabric beyond what the pattern calls for. The price for either kit is $195.
has the last border as fabric #1 with the binding in fabric #2
has the last border as the gradient with the binding in fabric #2
The Transcend kits have white as the background and I will provide the white fabric in the kit ($r/yard). The Transcend kits are $159
has white as the background and red as the binding.
has the gradient as the final border and red for the binding.
You can order the kits in my shop.
Whether you use my fabrics or your own fabrics, I hope you will participate in the project. I'll be giving away a Stash Pack to one winner each month to one of the participants.

I REALLY don't need to start another mystery next year, but the fabrics in Emerald Isle are calling my name... Loudly!
