This week brought another challenging block for my symmetry series. In the end I focused on working the symmetry only on the 2 walls. I like the block but may or may not include it in the final quilt. If it sticks out too much I will replace it.
The shibori block wasn't so bad. I like how it turned out.
This one had LOTS of pieces and
used lots of different fabrics.

I like the shibori block too, and suspect the other will stand out a bit. You were brave even attempting that one!

The top one is really stunning, but might be a bit much, but you never know till you set it in with the others, might just be a wonderful surprise. Love the second one too, beautiful shades and love the striations on the fabric.

I would love to live in that house! As much as I like the kaleidoscope quilts and blocks I'm not ready to take the time to do them. I love looking at them, though.
I like the shibori blocks because if I had any of it I would be too chicken to cut it up. Those fabrics add so much movement and texture to ordinary blocks.
