This block is pretty much the same as Block 2, Amethyst. I wanted to make sure that this version didn't look like Amethyst at all. For the shibori version I switched the placement of the shibori fabric. For the symmetry version I started with the border triangle and pulled a fabric that I have not used in these blocks yet. I positioned the template so that the lines in the fabric created a border for the pieced triangles. I think you would never be able to tell that Amethyst and Rocky Road are almost the same block.
Here are the templates and you can see that I started with another fabric. But after cutting it out I was afraid it would look too much like block 6.

Both are outstanding this week but I have to say that the kaleidoscope is my favorite!
