Mom and I had planned to go to Houston for Quilt Festival. Traveling for me is not easy because I have to be able to prepare my own meals. That pretty much means no hotels. I have to stay somewhere with a kitchen. Thinking of going I started looking for a place to stay in Houston in the Spring and booked right away.
Unfortunately we are not going now but I wanted to share some information on the great condo that I found in case you are looking for a terrific place to stay there.
Hotels near the convention center are about $200 per night and average over $100/night in the Galleria area, where this gem of a condo is. What you won't believe is that this place is only $80/night! Add a kitchenette to any other hotel in town and you are well over $200/night. I was thrilled to find it and very sorry that I'm going to miss out on staying here.
It has a king sized bed plus a twin pull-out in the living room so you could easily sleep 3 people.
The kitchen has everything you need to make your breakfast and dinner. You could even pack your lunch to save a few more $$ for fabric.
If you need a break from being inside the convention center there's even a park nearby to get some fresh air.
You can read all about the condo here. It is on Airbnb so you will have to set up a free user account and you will pay a service fee at the time of booking. You can lear all about how Airbnb works on their web site. I have been an Airbnb host for a year and we have had over 30 guests and it's been a great experience.
So, if you are looking for a great place to stay for Quilt Festival at an even greater price, check out Shelley's condo. It just became available today!

I have that problem too, have to get a kitchen and cook my own food, so makes traveling tough. It also makes it expensive since the choices are either in the high priced range or you don't want to stay there type of places, lol.
