Halfsies
The Patriot Fabric Palette block this week is called Halfsies. This is a block from the book 200 Blocks from Quiltmaker Magazine. This block was designed by Theresa Eisinger. If you are interested in the fabrics from the Patriot Palette you can find all of the information here.
This week I stared with a simple layout just to show the effect of changing color.
Change the center of the friendship stars to the same color of the points and you get a completely different look.
In this next version I used 5 values of blue with white for a very traditional look.
Next I continued my quest to embrace the inner modern quilter with a layout that uses a 36" block.
It's very crisp and clean with the white background but I adore the dark blue background. I'd make this for a little boy and you could do some great quilting with metallic accents.
Back to traditional with the last 2.
Someday I will make a red and white quilt.

A lot of great ideas...my fav is the blue modern version...
