Jungle Star
I think this goal of making a sample block each week in the palette is going to be a great idea. It's a good way to try a block and see if I like making it. I offer here, Exhibit A the Jungle Star block. It looks cool and I never shy away from a complex block but I chose to foundation piece it and I don't like the way that the seams come together in the center. It's a c-cup for sure. But I do like the block a lot and I had fun playing with layouts.
This is, of course, the Patriot Fabric Palette and you can get all of the fabric information here.
This first version uses only the blocks without any borders. With a 16" block this would make a 48 x 64" quilt.
This is the same but adding some white. I love the sparkle that the white adds.
In this version I am still using only blocks but the blocks on the outside are colored differently to give the effect of a border. You could do some awesome quilting in all of that white space.
Here's another alternative coloration.
And another with the outer blocks colored differently to give a border effect. In these last 2 I have added traditional borders using one of the featured prints from the palette.

They all look great :) I especially like the one with the white bkg.....but at my house ...white ...not!!! hahaha That is probably why I like it. White and black 5th wheel, engine, brake etc. grease just don't get along well

The stars floating on the backgrounds look very antique to me--nice!
