Today we finally harvested our first ears of corn. We had some for lunch and it was deeeeeelicious! This is the first year we have grown corn and it only happened because I mostly took over the gardening and insisted on corn. Chris always thought corn was too much trouble. His opinion has changed as of today. We will grow corn every year now.
We are already looking forward to dinner.
Mom, we will bring you some Thursday.

Beautiful! I planted corn one year and it was small but tasty. Fresh from the garden is best. Waiting for my tomatoes to ripen.

FRESH corn is such a treat! Try it in the microwave wrapped in waxed paper. 2 ears = 5 minutes. It steams itself in the paper and none of the goodness goes into a pot of boiling water.
