We love the 4th of July around here. We don't do anything special except to enjoy the day and have a great meal.
Today we will be using these placemats that I finished last night (OK, this morning). I used the Patriot gradient. I intended to make 6 but I'm stopping with these 2. Those curves were too radical for piecing. I'll make a few more but they will be different! But that's a task for another day.
Today we will be eating using our new placemats and these plates that I painted in 1998. I still love them and we use them on every patrioticl holiday. I hope you (if you are in the US) enjoy the holiday too!

Your placemats are wonderful: happy eating.
