Now that I am outside more I wanted some sleeveless tshirts to wear so I could avoid getting a farmer's tan while I do my little bit of gardening. I found these great tanks at Eddie Bauer and ordered a few. I didn't like their color choices so I ordered all white and here's what I did with them.
My favorite is the red and black one. Anyone who knows me will not be surprised to see mostly black and gray. After I had the 3 in the frond dyed I thought that people might think I'm depressed so I dyed the blue and red-orange ones to make up for the somber palette of the others. I love all of them. They are very comfortable and I am sure I will wear the out.
Earlier in the summer I bought 2 white tanks from Costco. I decided not to dye them. I wore one yesterday for a grand total of 10 minutes before I squirted cherry juice on it. I really can't be taken out in public much! Those 2 tops will get dyed some color this week. It's clear that white doesn't belong in my wardrobe!
I also wanted a few more regular tshirts for working out and wearing around the house.
I dyed a not-very-successful mandala in the Patriot colors and one super bright one in some leftover dyes from that session.
But my favorite one is this one! I wanted to see how many fish I could get crammed on one shirt. Seven seemed like a good number. I wore this shirt today. It will be my new favorite or all of my tshirts.
Of course this got tie dyeing on my brain and now I want to do more. Maybe I can do some Christmas gifts or something. I certainly don't need any more shirts.

The fish one is Awesome! They all look great....fun project.

I was hesitant to wear my dyed tees in public, but then I started seeing people in the stores and restaurants with tie-dyed outfits! I even got my button-down collar husband to wear a shibori indgo dyed tee on our walks. I love the ones you did. Off to EB to place an order.

I hadn't seen tie dyed fish before. They're so cute! I have the same issue with white clothing that you do. I don't even bother anymore. :(

These are all terrific! Great idea for a dyer to take fashion into her own hands like this.

I really like the blue tank and the yellow/orange tee. Have to agree with you, though; the fish shirt is awesome! I've researched tye-dye techniques, but I haven't seen the fish design before. I'd probably do more dyeing in general, but I don't have a utility sink that I can get as dirty as I want! Happy 4th!

The fish are OK but that orange/yellow is to "dye" for. Can I be on your Christmas list?
