yep those prove you are human things have gotten harder and harder to read - I eliminated it from my latest blogger blog right after I set it up, and there too, they must be doing a good job because I haven't had a single spammer leave me a link to an ad. It did happen in the old days, but no more - hip hip!

Deb Levy

I'm glad to hear you haven't had a big increase in spam. Where are the shirt pics????

Vicki

I can never enter the confirmation code correctly either and have to redo it over and over. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

Dot in NE Georgia

The confirmation code has always been difficult for me to get correct on the first try.
Love your blog and fabrics.

Frances

I would LOVE to win a membership....have always wanted to try it but haven't gotten around to it yet!!! Thanks for the opportunity!!

Cindy Is Crafty

I hate the same thing you metioned. Sometimes the words are so hard to discern that it takes me 2-3 tries and then it always wants me to log in again, so like you, I have stopped bothering to reply. If you pick me, I will pay it forward to the comment right adter this one!

Karen

I would love to win - I too have not been leaving as many comments as I used to due to the word verification - I read the blogs though!

I think Blogger is doing a decent job of catching the spam comments too. I hate to block Anonymous comments (which would stop all of them) because so many of my readers use it.
I would love an extension of my membership so count me in.

Jody

Thank you on both accounts--no more words to try to see and the giveaway!!

Vicky F

Hi Vicki,
Thank you for the offer.
I always cross my fingers and toes when I try to use the word verification. Sometimes squinting my eyes helps to see it. But I still detest it.
Keep cool!
We're going to be up to 97 tomorrow (West Michigan) so a lot of people are getting this heat wave.

Sometimes when I try to post on blogs it just doesn't work at all. A few I totally gave up on.
Your give away is awesome, I would love to give this a try.

Debra S

I cut my reading list in half mainly because of the comment verification. I have never used it on my blog and I haven't been spammed much at all (in 5+ yrs). I agree, it's a pain for a short comment. I have fudged quite a few times and my comment has still gone through (which I think is very interesting!)

Debbie St. Germain

I took the word verification off too and have not had any problems.
I got to watch some shows when they offered a free weekend, lots of great videos and tutorials, would love a chance to win.

Debbie

Kit Lang

Oh, I'm very glad to know that you got rid of the verification. It's so annoying that it has prevented me from leaving comments in the past.

Thanks for the chance to win - I watched an episode about Susan Shie the other day which is the first time I heard about it. I'd like to watch more! :)

Sharon Bourque

Thanks so very much for the opportunity to win this fantastic give away!!!

Debbie

I use blogger and have never used the word verification. I only get spam once in a while, sometimes it comes small bunches, but I think it's very easy to manage.

I'm a fan of TQS and it would be great to have a gift certificate for renewing! Thanks, Vicki!

Four dogs and one quilter

Thank you for removing the word verification, what a pain. Can never seem to get it right either. Am a huge fan of Alex Anderson and would love to win.

Fran

You're so right about the word verification frustration! I've given up and did not submit a comment on several occasions. I'm a glad you've made it easier for us. It's good to hear your jaw is getting better, and I've enjoyed seeing your garden grow.

Beth-Pretoria, South Africa

I never put the verification on,I think I have only had 1 spam message...

You don't need super high speed to watch TQS, but you do have to be willing to pause the video.... sometimes, if you don't have it!

Sandra

I too have had trouble figuring out the verification, so glad you removed it. I enjoy TQS, I lke to watch when I'm ironing. Do other people multi-task?

Lora

There are several blogs I have tried to leave the most brilliant of comments, only to be thwarted by the verification process. Glad your change has not led to being offered strange drugs and etc.

Ivory Spring

Please, please, please pick me!!! Yes, I have had the most frustrating time leaving comments lately due to the verification process, and what annoys me is that the letters/numbers of the verification code are so jumbled together that they are really hard to read. Okay, I shall get off my soap box! It's getting too late for me.

p.s. Thanks for the giveaway!

Helen

AndI thought it was my old age and fialing eyesight or my clumsy fingers that meant I was th eonly one who was incapableof entering that code right the first time! I am inspired to try removing it from my own blog now and see if the spam I did get comes back.m

Helen

Sheesh! Sorry about my typos. i guess I DO have eye/ finger issues :)

Jeannie

I know what you mean about the captcha codes. Even with my glasses on, my nose up close to the screen, and my eyes all squinty, I get it wrong on the first try. Our heat has yet to arrive. We are usually in the upper 90's by now, this year it has been a struggle to break 70. Soon enough I'll be griping about the heat, but dyeing fabric is so much easier when it is hot. Enjoy your massage!
