It's always fun to start designing quilts with the new fabric palette. One thing I keep struggling with is that the fabrics always look much duller in my EQ images. I import images of the fabrics and they look true in Photoshop but once I import them to EQ they look very dull. It's never been as bad as it is with this palette. I tried using solid colors from EQ instead but I like that effect even less. So, as you look at my quilt images try to imagine these colors.
If you are interested in purchasing any of the fabrics in the Monarch palette you can find the ordering information here.
This week I am playing with the Grandmother's Puzzle block. In this first version I picked white as the background.
In these first 3 I used the gradient for the border.
In this next one I added Flying Squares as an alternate block.
Then I decided to do a pieced border.
I love this last one with graphite as the background.

I like the dark background too it makes for a dramatic looking quilt!
Best wishes
