Last week was very busy with things I needed to do for the shop and I had one fun TED (Technique Exploration Day) with Estelle so I didn't make a lot of progress on any piecing or sewing except for the placemats I showed you yesterday. But I have made progress on something!
Remember Tuesday when I was talking about wasting time and not ever finding the time to do anything on the longarm? I decided that I would set aside 1 hour every day jut for the longarm.
I usually break from whatever I am doing to watch the news at 6pm. I decided that I would break at 5 now and quilt from 5 to 6 and it's worked out great so far. I knew when I put this quilt on the machine that the quilting I was planning was overkill for what will become a gift quilt. But I couldn't help it, I wanted to quilt it a certain way and that's what I am doing. This week I have been quilting lots of pebbles and rock (big and little circles). I'm glad I'm doing it an hour at a time because I seem to quilt with a death grip and it cramps my hand. No worries though, this one will be done in a few days!
I will continue to try to develop more discipline on how I use my time and I'll do it one hour at a time.
Check out how everyone else is spending their time over at Judy's blog.
