It's been a really special week around the Welsh household this week. Chris brought home a cold a suffered with it for about 5 days. I thought I had dodged the bullet but, no, now I have it. I'm hoping it's cleared up tomorrow because my friend, Kim, is getting married tomorrow evening and I don't want to miss it!
Of course, with a cold you don't feel like doing all that much. That's when it's good to have several different kinds of projects. All I've wanted to do is watch TV or listen to my latest audiobook and I determined that I could work on my Cracker Box ornaments. Last night during American Idol (the fainting episode), I finished Silver Shadows.
I am very partial to the ornaments that are silver on royal blue.
Those flat silver discs (behind the pinned beads) make a great effect but they are a total pain to work with.
But I always love making the dangly bits.
Next I will start 40 Years of Luv, their anniversary kit. It was incredibly expensive but it's going to be spectacular covered in Swarovski crystals.
I may or may not be back tomorrow with my color challenge project.

It's beautiful Vicki. Great achievement considering you were feeling rotten. Hope you feel better! :0)

OMG yes, incredibly expensive but also incredibly beautiful. I love watching the progress of your ornaments and hope you feel better sooner rather than later.

I too adore the silver on blue and your ornament is stunning. Birds of a feather....and all that. I'm sorry to hear about your cold and hope you've significantly improved by tomorrow evening and are able to enjoy the wedding.

The only thing better than silver on blue is royal purple on gold. I love this ornament and the anniversary kit is gorgeous. I hope you are feeling better. We have been down with it all week as well. I should by stock in Kleenex.
