First a little rant. What is up with Blogger? Have you tried to leave a comment on a Blogger blog since Google decided to make the word verification codes nearly impossible to read? I feel bad for the bloggers. They didn't ask for that and now many of them are removing the word verification all together. I don't think that's the outcome Google had in mind. Hopefully someone at Google will get enough complaints to put it back the way it was. As it is it takes longer to match the words than it does to type the comment!
Back to Design Wall Monday.
There hasn't been much happening aroun here in the past week or so. First Chris was sick with a cold and was pretty much immobile for 5 days. The day he got better I came down with it and spent Tuesday - Saturday hugging the tissue box and not doing much else. I even missed my friend's wedding Friday night.
I didn't do any sewing at all. For some reason, the only thing I could concentrate on were my Cracker Box Christmas ornaments. I finished one and started another. This one is called Down Under. I should call it Harry Potter at Downton Abbey since those are the shows I watched while working on it. Now that I'm well who knows when it will get finished!
Yesterday I did finally move around and decided to get back to the longarm. I got all of the SID and ruler work done on this quilt. I have CC and pebbles left to do. I don't spend nearly as much time as I want on the longarm and I'm going to try to develop some new time management habits to help with that.
But the think I want to focus on this week is making more progress on the kaleidoscope quilt. Check out what others are working on over at Patchwork Times.

Quilter Blogs & Store Search

I thought maybe it was my need for new glasses with the verification code. It does make leaving a comment difficult. Love the sneak peek of the new Cracker box ornament and the kaleidoscope quilt. So sorry that you had to miss the wedding. I applaud you for not going and passing the cold around. I wish more people were as courteous. Rest and heal.

Your patience amazes me with your ornament making! Glad you're feeling better. I find myself not wanting to leave comments because it's too frustrating. I haven't had the word verif on my blog in ages and so far not problems but I've heard others getting tons of spam to include porn! Bad Google!

The ornaments are beautiful! I like your name choice, too, since I'm obsessed with Downton Abbey. Glad you're getting back to normal!

I agree about the word verification, it's awful! Plus, I can't even remove it from my blog - and the help page about it has mysteriously vanished! I've just sent in my second complaint to blogger/google about it.

There seems to be a lot of ranting going on at the moment over the latest blog-grrrr change. I too hope they get enough complaints to put it back the way it was. Glad you're feeling better but feel badly that you had to miss the wedding.

Since I don't know how Wordpress or Typepad works for clearing spam comments I just keep answering the questions, but I KNOW blogger doesn't let 'em through because I haven't had word verification for over a year, and though I get spam in my inbox from people leaving it on my blog every day, it has never yet (crosses fingers) gotten published on my blog.
so I don't understand why blogger bloggers have word verification in the first place!
Your design wall looks interesting!

Glad you had some bead therapy to help you recover. Sorry you missed THE WEDDING but you were very thoughtful to not share your cold with the wedding guests.
I'll keep this short, in case in doesn't send.

I'm sorry for the bloggers but glad to hear I'm not the only one who cannot read those verification codes. Every time you mention those Cracker Box ornaments, I'm tempted to try one!
