This is my December 9 journal quilt and also
a Christmas card design.
I never do just one Christmas postcard design. I usually do 3 but this year, only 2. This Cardinal is totally unoriginal. It is an adapted version of the Wee Folk Art Cardinal Applique Block. I saw it on someone else's blog and I thought it was so cute that I just had to use it too. I used all hand dyed fabric on this one.
I made 15 of these!

WOW! These turned out great. I love the hand dyed fabric. I'm going to link to these on Wee Folk Art's Facebook page. Lovely :)

...and I was the lucky recipient of one of these marvelous cardinal postcards! Nanner, Nanner, Nanner! It's even prettier in real life. I'm eternally indebted to you, Vicki.

I can't believe you made so many, I just did 4 this year and they were fairly simple. The cardinal is really cute. My mom would like it, she love cardinals.

Beautiful. Cardinals are perfect Christmas birds--you think it might be the red color? Merry Christmas. I'm sure your post card recipients were very happy.
