I have found another great location to carry my scarves. The Glen Allen Cultural Arts Center is very close to where I live and it's a wonderful center for the arts. They have exhibits, performances, classes and host all kinds of events from corporate meetings to weddings. The gift shop is open during events and Saturdays form 10 am until 2 pm. They have a huge selection of items and I'm thrilled to have my scarves included knowing that sales will benefit the Center.
They also take phone orders so I'm going to share photos of the current batch. If you want one you can call 804-261-6204 and order one.
If you live in the Richmond area don't miss the Holiday Shoppers Fair starting November 3. Sponsored by the Museum Stores of Richmond, the Holiday Shoppers Fair 2011 is a gathering of gift shops from 16 of the city’s favorite museums and cultural institutions. This year the event is at the VMFA. The Glen Allen Cultural Arts Center will be there with lots of items, including my scarves!
Before I start the picture show, here's the deal on the scarves. Each design comes in 2 fabrics, Silk Charmeuse and Silk Habotai. Charmeuse is very luxurious and heavier than Habotai. Habotai used to be called China Silk and it's somewhat sheer and wispy. Both are really nice! The Charmeuse scarves are $31.99 and the Habotai scarves are $26.99. I've named them (with local Richmond areas) to help identify them to the shop. Charmeuse scarves are identified with (c), Habotai scarves are identified with (h). The name in bold is the scarf in the photo. Click on the photos to see them larger.
