The Blogger's Block of the Month sponsored by Canton Village Quilt Works has started! The first block was designed by Sherri at A Quilting Life. The instructions for this block are on her blog. All of the blocks will finish to 8" square.
The BOM program is designed around some beautiful Kaffe Fassett fabrics which begs the question, why am I using these? While doing some organizing in my sewing room recently I found my stash of vintage feedsack fabrics. I thought that this BOM might be a good opportunity to finally use some of them. I have lots of charm squares so I'll make this one very scrappy.
The other question that should be asked is why I am starting another new project. It's simple. It's because I want to. There really is no other good reason!
Are you going to participate in the Blogger's BOM? You can get the basic information here and once you've made a block you can share it in the Flickr group.
Even though there's only one block on my design wall, I have lots of other things going on. I need to get Willie quilting on a baby quilt. I have loads of newly dyed fabric to iron and I have to finish cleaning my basement studio areas. I guess I better get busy!
Check out what everyone else is doing over at Patchwork Times.

Did you do the block in the pic? I really like it and it is so random looking. Cool!

Very cool block and I have been tempted by this little group. Nice fabrics, love how it is modern yet has roots in tradition all at the same time. :)
