One of the reasons that I sell fabric is that my fabric prefers to go live elsewhere...where real artists live! Here's a fine example of some of my happiest fabric.
Marilyn Wall is a Fiber Artist in South Carolina. We've been working together over a year to develop some lines of color gradient packs that can be used for skin tones. One of those is the fabric that she used in this piece called Connor. You can see her progress on this on her blog. Start with this post and read back.
Marilyn does different kinds of quilt art and you can see some of it in her gallery but the best part is that she shares her talent in workshops! She uses my fabrics in her Fabricating Faces workshops. You can see why fabrics going to Marilyn pack and mail themselves!
A few weeks ago I shared this link to Emma's blog and a quilt that she made froms everal of my gradient fabrics. It was featured in Australian Patchwork and Quilting Vol 20 #6. I finally found a copy here!
I was going to leave the magazine out and open to this page but then I saw this.
That's Deb Levy's Seasons of the Moons! Kits for these and 2 other of Deb's designs are in the shop.
I'll just leave the magazine out and flip back and forth between the 2 pages! I think it has some other nice projects in it too. I'll look at those at some point.
I am grateful that artists like Marilyn, Emma and Deb who find my fabrics a good match for their artisic vision. I love seeing what they do with them. If' you've made something from one of my fabrics I hope you will consider sharing it in my customer gallery on Flickr or send me a photo that I can share on the blog.

Those are such beautiful projects and your fabric really does make the quilts, the variations give so much more dimension to the pieces.

Love the transitions quilt--just a delight for the eye as you move down the stripe--sort of subtle and unexpected.

oh, I love today's post. How exciting it must be to see your work light up these quilts. I love Marilyn's work and what Emily did with your fabric. As a matter of fact, one of my favorite things to look at (I dragged it out again last night) is an old copy of Australian Patchwork and Quilting that has some things I am itching to make. Wow, how exciting to influence quilting around the world!
