The Bluebirds have fledged. We saw them a couple of days ago flying around near the nest box and calling to each other.
Yesterday I took my niece to see the baby Tree Swallows and she got a bonus of seeing one of the parents too. We only stayed long enough to snap this quick photo. This will be our last nesting family for the season.
How come the moms stay when you take a look. If I go on my porch they are off on a perch, chattering at me, till I leave, lol. I was looking at the nest, I can hear the babies, but it is in a corner, so she built it up and then all the way down into the column, so they are safe from curious eyes;)
